FedEx was launching their EuroRally promotion in November, 2008. They wanted a race-themed promotional website that would capture their customers' attention and keep them involved in the event. With only one month to develop a spectacular website with breakthrough technology and mass appeal, Transio faced a challenge like never before! The glove had been thrown down, and we had our work ahead of us, but we've never backed away from a challenge before! Why start now?
With our partner Grass Roots developing the back-end of the promotion, Transio was able to focus on front-end components. We created a unique 3D experience with 5 individual movies in an integrated Flash movie player, which communicates with the back end and unlocks new movies as the user advances towards his quota. We also developed a one-of-a-kind Flash 3D engine that displays user's progress in a simulated 3D "race". We wrapped it all in an attractive, racy-looking website.
